We provide you with the following information about riders and assistance:

  • First & Last Name of voter requesting the ride (main contact)

  • Number of people being picked up from the location

  • Requested pickup time (we let them know that we can’t guarantee a specific time.)

  • Phone # for main contact

  • Address to be picked up from

  • Polling location (if known) if not I will research and supply or rider will direct you to it.

  • Type of housing (senior high-rise, apartment bldg., house, etc.)

  • Any additional information the driver may need (mobility issues – uses walker, wheelchair, is wheelchair collapsible and can fit into car or trunk)

  • We collect: where rider(s) will be, e.g., in the lobby of the Apartment building.

  • You can call for assistance at any time.

Process

  1. We send you the above information via text or email. We will call you.

  2. You reply that you have received.

  3. You call or contact me if you have any questions.

  4. You estimate time to location for pick up or, if you can’t estimate time, we will estimate travel time.

  5. If information states that the person needs assistance getting into your vehicle, you will call them and let me know if feel you are able to pick them up

  6. I will let rider know estimated time. I will tell rider(s) that this is an estimate or you will call the rider if practical.

  7. If you are running significantly late, you let me know.

  8. You let me know when you have arrived and the actual # of riders

  9. You let me know rider(s) have been returned to residence and that you are available for another pickup.

PPE (OMICRON, COVID, RSV)

Do you have masks? You should have mask available for yourself and wear it if requested. If you feel you may be ill and/or have a fever, you should not drive. If you have additional masks, consider taking some with you or we will provide.  There is additional PPE at the Wylie Avenue office. If this is an issue, please call me.
